Introduction & Acceptance
Effective Date: March 02, 2026 Welcome to Fin OS Pro. By downloading, accessing, or using the Fin OS mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
1. Nature of the Service (No Financial Advice)
Fin OS Pro is an informational and organizational tool designed to help you track your personal finances, budgets, and goals. • Not a Financial Advisor: We are not a bank, broker, tax professional, or financial advisor. • No Guarantee of Accuracy: The app utilizes on-device AI and algorithms to categorize transactions and project financial trends. These are estimates provided for convenience only. You should not make critical financial, legal, or tax decisions based solely on the app's output without consulting a certified professional.
2. Data Ownership & Responsibility
Because Fin OS is an offline-first application, your data resides primarily on your local device. • Data Loss: You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. If you lose your device, uninstall the app, or experience hardware failure without having enabled 'Auto-Cloud Backup' to your personal Google Drive, your data will be permanently lost. We are not liable for any data loss. • Data Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you input or import via CSV/Excel.
3. Security & Authentication
You are responsible for safeguarding your device and your Fin OS account. • Biometric Lock: If you enable the App Lock feature, you are responsible for managing your device's biometric settings. • Account Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords or authentication methods associated with your Firebase or Google accounts used to sync the app.
4. Pro Edition License & Usage
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-assignable, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use Fin OS Pro. • Prohibited Conduct: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app. You may not use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
5. Third-Party Services
Fin OS Pro integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google Drive for backups, Firebase for authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, uptime, or security breaches of these third-party platforms.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fin OS and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the app. • Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your local database or cloud backups. • Any calculations, categorizations, or insights generated by the app's algorithms.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the app, us, or third parties. You may terminate these terms at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the app.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the 'Effective Date' at the top of this document. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Predictive Simulations
Tools like the F.I.R.E. Engine and Debt-Free Date use historical data and Monte Carlo simulations to project future outcomes. These are mathematical estimates, not financial guarantees. Real-world results may vary due to market volatility or tax law changes.
10. Data Integrity & Schema Updates
While we provide automated migration scripts to handle database version changes (e.g., v1 to v3), you are responsible for maintaining frequent manual backups. We are not liable for data loss occurring during hardware failure or improper app uninstallation.
